KAKATIYA UNIVERSITY'S BRIEF PROFILE

KUCE is established in the year 1956 which is located at 10km from kottagudem in Khammam district.Earlier it was called as Kottagudem School of mines(KSM).At that time it was affiliated to Osmania University and then in the year 1994 it was changed to University college of Engineering (Kakatiya University). The campus of the college is about 490 acres of land equipped with hostels,Library,Enginnering Block and MCA/MBA block.

PLACEMENT CELL

Kakatiya university has excellent placements(on campus/off campus) for all the students which are organised by our hod's.About 85%of them were recruited in reputed companies like WIPRO,SATYAM,INFOSYS,IBM from CSE last year.we have also got enrollement for JKC,CPM etc.we also have 100% placements for MINING ENGINEERING.We also have good placements in core jobs KTPS(KOTTAGUDEM THERMAL POWER STATION),NTPC etcfor EEE guys.MINING people have many companies like SINGARENI COLLERIES,CEMENT FACTORIES,NMDC(NATIONAL MINERAL DEVELOPMENT CENTER) etc.

HOSTELS

Kakatiya university provides the best hostels for the students. There is seperate hostels provided for boys and girls.The new boys hostel for juniors is located 1.5km from the main college.There is also seperate mess for the hostelers which is at walkable distance.There are total 90 rooms in the hostel each room shared by 3 memebers.The food will be very good.The mess bill will be charged accordingly approximately 700 to900 per month.The total hostel is located in about 2 acres of land.The rooms are very spacious.The hostel warden is Dr.Shesha Srinivas.

There are limited number of branches in our college but we have enough facilities in our college .Civil engineering,Mechanical engineering are likely to be added this year.So,branches in our college are

LIBRARY

Kakatiya university has a very big library in the campus.The books are of different authors and there are about 40,000 books in our library.The library is located in the new college.We can get books of any type
